Running Aces is seeking qualified experienced poker dealers to fill many part-time positions to deal various poker games, including Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Stud. We are seeking personable team players with flexible work schedule availability. Work hours may vary and may include days, nights, weekends and / or holidays as needed.

Job Summary

Ensure great customer service by dealing a standardized, smooth and mechanically efficient game. Control game action and players. Ensure games are dealt and collections taken in agreement with card club policy and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides prompt, accurate, and courteous service to customers.
  • Provides a friendly, congenial, harmonious atmosphere for customers and fellow employees.
  • Deals and enforces poker game rules in accordance with departmental procedures all the while maintaining the pace of the poker game.
  • Responsible for the Table Tray Bank and monitors the chips and money on the game.
  • Collects the poker revenue ("the rake") from the pot in accordance with departmental raking procedures.
  • Collects the jackpot money from the pots in accordance with departmental jackpot procedures.
  • Works on the poker room floor in other capacities as directed by the Poker Floor Supervisor. Willing to 'run chips', 'set-ups', help with the 'board', etc.
  • Cooperate with Shift Manager/Tournament Director/Floor Personnel and call for assistance for any concerns or decisions.
  • Notify Floor Personnel of short game before it breaks.
  • Begin dealer rotation in complete uniform expectations and maintain good personal hygiene.
  • Knowledge of all card club tournaments and promotions.
  • Meet attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and casino policy and procedures.
  • Accept constructive criticism and counseling in a positive, professional manner.
  • Attend all meetings and training as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 6 months experience dealing professional poker or successful completion of Poker School required.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, pleasant personality, able to handle pressure and difficult situations.
  • Must be able to quickly and accurately perform mathematical computations when determining winners and losers and collecting and paying out bets.
  • Must possess good manual dexterity for quick and accurate handling of chips, cards and money
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to respond calmly and make rational decisions in stressful situations with co-workers and guests in fast-paced environment.
  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 25 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
  • Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues within peripheral vision.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds and air quality.
  • Must be fluent and literate in English.
